The drop-in daycare welcomes children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Offered twice a week, exclusively to Peter-McGill families, this free service accommodates children for 3 hours at a time in a safe, warm and colourful space.
Who can access the daycare?
The drop-in daycare welcomes children ages 18 months to 5 years. The service is free for families who live in Peter-McGill*, regardless of citizenship or residency status.
How often can I use the daycare?
Children can attend the daycare twice per week for 3 hours each. Currently the daycare operates on Monday to Thursday from 9:30am-12:30pm.
What should I bring?
Parents are asked to provide a snack, a change of clothes and diapers. You are welcome to bring a stuffed animal for your little one but we have lots of toys here too! For more information, please contact us below.
How many children are in the daycare at a time?
While the daycare usually welcomes 6 children, we have reduced capacity to 3 children during the pandemic to reduce risk to parents.
Stroller break service (currently suspended)
With COVID-19, some parents may prefer to reduce contact as much as possible. Make appointment with our daycare coordinator to take your child for a walk in their stroller for 60-minutes. This service is available to parents with children under 2 and a half years old.
About the Daycare Coordinator
Mother of two sons and coordinator of the daycare, Sabine Philippidès has over 5 years of experience working in Montreal daycares. She has completed various trainings in early childhood, most notably from the Québec association of community daycares.
