Sabine Philippidès is the Community Liaison for the quartier Peter McGill, of downtown Montreal. In addition to managing the Drop-In Daycare at the YWCA, she is the go-to person for information on services and activities for families with children ages 0-12 in the neighbourhood.
Sabine has completed studies in musicology, IT as well as in sociology, psychology and early childhood education. When she first arrived in Montreal, she worked in a family daycare. She then got involved as a volunteer in the Peter-McGill community, and joined the Community Council’s team soon after as a Mobilisation Officer for local families. When she and her two sons aren’t at the Art Hive or at the park, Sabine loves to read and bake.
Chantal Thomas is the Coordinator of the Parent Multiplier program, a series of workshops that aim to inform families about local services and common family issues. She also sends out a weekly newsletter with family-friendly events and activities. Sign-up using the form on the right sidebar!
Chantal has a Master’s of Education in Educational Intervention from the Université de Montréal. She grew up surrounded by children as the oldest of six. She also worked in the administration of a Centre de la Petite Enfance in downtown Montréal, and was one of the Family Care Workers at the Native Women’s Shelter of Montréal. In her free time, Chantal loves to cook, travel, and knit.
